Meditations from a recovering perfectionist

Hi! My name is Kara.

I am a recovering perfectionist,

and the pastor of Weston United Methodist Church in Weston, Missouri.

The purpose of Incorrectly Christian is to be imaginative, playful, and inquisitive about God and what it means to love and follow Jesus.

I began this website as a side project to keep me occupied as I finished grad school and changed jobs; now it is a little corner of the internet where I keep some of my meditations, essays, and manuscripts where others can access them.

Incorrectly Christian seeks to live outside the dichotomy of right/wrong or correct/incorrect—in short, without the pressure to live “correctly.” Embracing this kind of discipleship has helped me to transform from living in fear of judgment to living in love and kindness. I believe this kind of discipleship will transform you, too.
